Gillette. The home was designed to look like a medieval
fortress from the outside. It is situated on a 180
acre estate in EAst Haddam.

J. Alden Weir for forty years. The site includes
his studio, his home, a few otyher buildings,
and a "painting trail" where visitors can view the
scenery that inspired some of his paintings.

This 1846 gothic revival home in Woodstock, Connecticut
is a National Historic Landmark. Also known as the Henry Cl
Bowen ouse and The Pink House.
