Bard on the Beach
Shakespeare festival established in 1990. Features a series of performances in Vancouver's Vanier Park, usually from June through September.

Celebration of Light
Annual fireworks competition founded in 1990 as the Symphony of Fire. Usually held on four separate nights during a week week period in July or August. The fireworks displays begin at 10:00 p.m., rain or shine, and they each last about 25 minutes. A music program broadcasted by radio station 104 FM. accompanies the fireworks displays.

Cherry Blossom Festival of Vancouver
Annual festival celebrating the 40,000 ornamental cherry trees given to the city Vancouver as a gift from Japan in the 1930's. Events include cherry and cherry tree themed music, poetry, photography, art, design, crafts, and cuisine. Also includes a haiku poem writing contest. Chinese New Year Parade of Vancouver
Parade on a route about a kilometer in length that usually begins at at Pender Street and Columbia Street in Vancouver's Chinatown.

Folk Music Festival of Vancouver
Weenend music festival held at Jericho Beach Park, on several stages, usually the third weekend in July. Typically attracts more then 30,000 visitors.

Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival
Features a series of cultural events celebrating the culture of Vancouver's East Side Community. Produced by Vancouver Moving Theatre with the Carnegie Community Centre and the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians.

International Jazz Festival of Vancouver
One of the largest music festivals in British Columbia. Usually held over ten days around the end of June. Features live music performed at many venues throughout Vancouver.

Pride Parade and Festival of Vancouver
Annual parade celebrating the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community of Vancouver. One of the largest parades in Canada.
