Appalachian National Scenic Trail
Public footpath nearly 2,200 miles long that extends through the Appalachian Mountains
between the state of Maine in the north and the state of Georgia in the South.
From north to south, the trail passes through the U.S. states of
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut New York,
New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia,
North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia
